I am so thrilled with my table mats made by Devi. I have been looking for years to find something to go with my table covering and Devi was able to make the perfect set.  They are big enough to get the plate and knives and forks on easily and are beautifully soft.  The workmanship is incredible and hand finishing is practically invisible.  Who would have guessed that functional mats could be so beautiful.  Thank you Dorset Patchworks.

Thank you Devi for the beautiful quilt for my goddaughter's 50th birthday. It has arrived and she loves it - hand made, ethically sourced and in the most beautiful colours.

Full disclosure here in that I am a member of a quilt group with Devi who is a source of inspiration to the group and a wonderful quilter.  She has a unique eye for colour and design and the talent and patience to produce the most gorgeous original items.  

Devi is very aware of our environment and follows this with an awareness of the lovely Dorset Coast and countryside.  She has run a couple of work shops for the group and we thought we would be producing the same standard that she always achieves. While we did very well and all were happy and enjoyed the workshops and our bags, produced in various shapes sizes and colours, we learnt a lot and enjoyed her tuition it became very obvious when looking for that special something I will turn to Dorset Patchworks. Although Devi sells the most beautiful fabrics she does that little bit of extra with it to make it stand out.

My eye is on one of her Boro cushions for the next special gift and for the hours she spends on these items they are so much better than mass produced and very reasonable.

On that note lets try and support the small business either on line or, if lucky as we are, in person.  My go to for my Christmas shopping in these difficult times will be @dorsetpatchworks.

Thank you Devi and hopefully photo of the quilt in situ on the gold coloured second hand sofa that sets it off beautifully .

Note:  when I took my parcel for posting  I had a comment on what a lovely parcel. Quilt beautifully wrapped in tissue by Devi, ready for its posting bag. Perfect service Dorset Patchworks.

I found you on google in the yucky miserable time of lockdown, and how lucky was I to have chosen you .. you and I had a connection! You were ( are ) a star at reading what I wanted and I have a quilt that not only matched my colour scheme but also my life! It was such a privilege to work with you every step of the way! Who knew half the stuff that went into a quilt … if I had bought one from a shop I would not have thought twice about the work involved. Your work is meticulous. My husband is an artist and he showed me how perfect it was from an artists eye ! My 5 year old granddaughter gasped ( true story! ) when she took it out it’s lovely home made bag … and as I type this my heart feels full and my eyes have tears! It’s so lovely Devi I couldn’t have imagined anything better ..

I explained what I needed done to Devi and asked her how I could do it. She helped every step of the way and was so helpful. She was able to sew the extra material on and the final result is just beautiful. I would definitely recommend Devi for her professionalism and for her ability to understand requests and act quickly on them. "Dear Devi, we can't thank you enough for the wonderful wedding quilt you made for Bryn and Catherine's festival themed wedding day. From the care and attention to the choice of fabric, pattern and colour (where you steered us gently in the right direction) to the details of the quilt and the hand embroidered label with their names and wedding date proudly emblazoned, we simply couldn't have asked for more. On the wedding day itself we set up their tent with fairy lights, bunting, illuminated B&C letters and accessories (plus a morning after survival kit) with your quilt in pride of place on their airbed! It looked simply beautiful and perfectly set the romantic and hand crafted mood we set out to create. Glamping doesn't come close!! We'll let the new Mr and Mrs Robinson tell their own story in due course but you couldn't have made the process smoother or more friendly. "I asked Devi to make a quilt for a cousin in Australia who was expecting her first child. I asked her mother as to what colours her nursery was decorated in and if there was anything in particular that she liked. On receiving the advice on the colour scheme and that she liked foxes I e-mailed Devi the colours. I then paid Devi a visit where we searched for materials together finally deciding upon a beautiful fox fabric and contrasting fabrics to go with it. Devi set to work and showed me a sample of what the finished product would look like before going on to finish a beautiful quilt. The Australian couple had no idea that they would be receiving this gift and were delighted when it arrived - immediately sending back to England photographs of baby Reuben lying on it. I was very impressed with Devi's service she was extremely helpful and the finished quilt was of a very high standard. I would certainly use her services again."

"I asked Devi to make a quilt for my God-daughter's baby girl, having seen a few photos of some she'd already made. I gave her an idea of the themes and colours I wanted and she came up with a few suggestions to help me make my choice. It was all done by email with plenty of photos showing different layout possibilities etc. After I'd made my choices, Devi emailed another photo showing the patchwork all in place before sewing it together, to make sure I was happy with it. The quilt arrived within a couple of weeks, beautifully made and looking even better than it did in the photos. My God-daughter is absolutely delighted with the quilt and says it's one of the best gifts she's received and will become an heirloom. That says it all!"
