Japanese Rice Bags - Shop
livepages::jquery();?>Japanese Rice Bags, also known as Japanese komebukuro bags ,were traditionally used to carry rice offerings to the temples and shrines as well as being used to present gifts to special friends or relatives.
The bags are square with loops at the opening through which fabric drawstrings are threaded.
The bags are an ideal alternative to wrapping a gift in paper and can double up as a useful storage container.
The bags currently come in three sizes:
Small - measuring 4½"x 4½ x 4½ with the loops adding an additional 2½" (11.5 cms x 11.5 cms x 11.5 cms plus 6.5 cms for the loops).
Medium - measuring 5½" x 5½" x 5½ with the loops adding an addition 2½" (14 cms x 14 cms x 14 cms plus 6.5 cms for the loops).
Large - measuring 6½" x 6½" x 6½" with the loops adding an additional 2½" (16.5 cms x 16.5 cms x 16.5 cms plus 6.5 cms for the loops).
The bags can be made to order for any fabric on the shop (subject to availability). If you would like a bag made just send a message.
