Quilted Wool Bag

I am bit of a fan of Wallace & Sewell scarves and find difficult to resist stocking up on gifts.  At their last sale just before Christmas 2023 I found some beautiful scarves, and used some to bag a few bags.

The wool fabric used for the outer part of this deep handbag is a second and so there may be minor flaws.  Each side of the bag is different.   The bag is lined in blue cotton.  There is a zippered pockeet which is lined in grey.  The short handles are also in grey.

The approximate measurements of the bag are:  W11½" x  H12" or W29 cms x H30.5 cms.  The straps add an additional 8" or 20 cms. 

I've used some In R Form foam which gives the bag extra body so that when you place the bag on a surface in doesn't collapse in a heap.   The bag has been subtly quilted.  The quilting is almost invisible to the eye.
