Itty Bitty Patchwork Quilted Tote Bag

Recently I've been working on projects using Kona Cotton fabric which come in a variety of beautiful strong bold colours. 

I'm not one to waste fabric, so I used tiny left-over pieces to create this roomy colourful tote bag which I've called Itty Bitty Patchwork Tote Bag. 

The bag is fully lined in burgundy fabric and there is a black strap.  The bag is also quilted in narrow vertical lines in black thread.  There is an outer zipped pocket, which measures approximately 12" or 30.5 cms.  The bag itself measures W19" x L12" or W48 cms x L30.5 cms.  The straps add an additional 14" or 35.5 cms.

I've used In R Form foam and this gives the bag extra body so that when you place the bag on a surface in doesn't collapse in a heap.  In addition the bag is machine washable on a gentle setting.  I've also used In R Form foam in the straps which makes the bag comfortable if you're carrying the bag over your shoulder.

A panel of black fabric is on the base of the bag so that the printed fabric doesn't get dirty when the bag in placed on a floor or other surface.  I've shown this in the last photograph.
