This is a set of four artisan place mats in a combination of desert earth colours made with 100% cotton fabric from a collection called 'Grunge'.  All the fabric has attractive mottling.  The binding is in two colours.  There is plain brown fabric on the back of each mat.

Each mat has a layer of heat-resistant material plus a layer of 100% cotton wadding which gives the mats a luxurious quality and helps to protect table surfaces. 

The place mats were quilted on a domestic sewing machine and finished by hand.

The mats measure approximately 14" x 12½" or 35.5 cms x 32 cms.

The place mats are machine washable on a gentle setting with like colours. As the fabric hasn't been pre-washed there may be a small amount of shrinkage when the place mats are first washed.
